Profile Fields

I added some extra profile fields via users-> profile fields.

Is it possible to have those link through to other websites, instead of searching internally on the website. I want people to be able to add twitter links and the like to their profiles.

You need to install a plugin to do it. I use BuddyPress Custom Fields Type: https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-xprofile-custom-fields-type/
