Questions regarding top search, wide web page, font size

Hi, I have a few questions please for the website

1)I have tried following your tutorial to add the search at the top with an image behind fit but it does not seem to be working any ideas why this could be?

2)I have set the website to be a wide page and yet the grey does not go all the way wide on the home page any ideas?

3)How can I make the font larger as it is too small to read.

Everything is well explained on our tutorial and videos.
At Sweetdate > Homepage you can select the background image and at Sweetdate > Buddypress you can enable the search form

Hello, the theme settings are bad set up, i suggest to reset to default (button found at theme settings) and edit only what appears at the tutorial.
