Re-arranging Profile Fields

Hi,
Is there a way I can re-arrange the profile fields without loosing all the existing data that our members have already filled in?

I need to make changes, because I have 6 fields, and when members fill out more than 4 fields, the layout gets all messed up. So I am now forced to reduce the number of profile fields to maximum 4 fields.

However, the way it is made now, I cannot re-arrange, move or transfer fields from one group to another, I have to make new ones from scratch. Not only giving me extra work, but also deleting everything our members already have filled out.

Naturally this is bad. So is there either a way for me to fix this, OR a way to make the layout include all profile fields without getting messed up?

Hi, If you want to make 4 profile fields out of 6 that won’t be an easy task because you will need a script or something to make the changes directly to the database.
You can easily move fields from one group to another.. maybe great another group or something
