The widget shows the latest posts just after I add it in Appearance > Widgets but after that it just seems to keep on displaying the same 5 posts after new posts have been created.
Also, when a post is deleted, the widgets still shows it, resulting in a 404.
August 16, 2013 at 22:53 #1455SQadminKeymasterHi,
We’ll get back to you with a quick fix. This happens because of a cache we added not to query all the posts every time the page loads. To fix it quickly just re-save the widget

However re-saving the widget doesn’t help on the the widget from this post: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/recent-posts-widget.
Isn’t there something I can add or delete from the widget code in sweetdate-child/functions.php to disable the cache? thanks

Please replace the content of the file located in the main theme: sweetdate/framework/widgets/widget_recent_posts.php with the one from this file:

I’m having the same issue and I updated the widget_recent_posts.php file with the one you provided, but it’s still only showing one post even though I have 2…
Any ideas?
