registration , activation link, and – login redirection issues

ACTIVATION – If you choose to save the password in your browser after you submit the registration, then the “User Name” field is pre-populated with email address instead of user name and leads to an error. (Minor point but every little bit that adds to ease of use matters).

ALSO when i click on activation link sent to my email address: it displays a white screen and refuses to return to WEBSITE.

what do i do to get registered users login and get directed to thier profile page, as against Frontpage.

Hi,

The email address could populate your username field ONLY if you have tried to login using email and hit “remind” or saved the email/password for the domain where you have the site installed.

The blank page during activation is probably triggered because of a outdated/misconfigured plugin or some custom modifications that you might made to your site. I recommend you to deactivate your plugins one by one until you find the one that causes the error.

You can create advanced redirect rules for your users during login by using the “Peter’s Login Redirect” plugin.

thanks Andrie im really pleased WITH your help.

However i would be most grateful if i can get help with the redirection “Peter’s Login Redirect” plugin.
all i’m trying to achieve is redirect each user (with the exception of the ADMIN) to thier profile assigned page.

the plugin is already installed but it’s not working or PEHARPS i’m not doing it right.

all i need is a sample with this existing user url
