I tried to change the main button color and it changed the background for the whole registration box as well (now they match so the button has disappeared). I am having trouble finding the main index file on my ftp so I can make changes to the registration box. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, indeed the box will take main button background color and the button inside it will take the hover color set. Try setting a closer lighter color for the primary button hover color from Sweetdate – Styling options

Thanks! – is there a way to change to button color without affecting the background color of the registration fields above it? I would like to see if there is a way to make them white.

    Thanks,

How can we change the color of the Newsletter signup box right before the footer?

    Never mind. I found it:
    wp-content/themes/sweetdate/assets/styles/foundation-nonresponsive.min.css

Please add all your css in the sweetdate-child/style.css or in WP admin – Sweetdate – Styling options – Quick css.
You need to override the initial css just by redefining it with your own value
