Registration Emails are not working

With the BuddyApp them I have the WordPress SMTP plugin installed and my email configuration is working correctly as I’m getting other emails (password resets etc) but specifically REGISTRATION activation emails are not being sent.    Please help

I’m running WP 4.9.6 with BuddyApp 1.5.4 . (both are latest stable versions).

Also check if you have the activation email created under wp-admin -> emails -> and check if you have activate and activate your account
