Remove "Sitewide Activity" Tab

I’m currently using BuddyPress and would like to remove the Sitewide Activity tab altogether so that when people click on “Activity” it shows “Friend’s Activity” by default. I ran across this BuddyPress thread but it is kind of old and relies on a buddypress child theme: http://buddypress.org/support/topic/remove-sitewide-activity/

If there is anyway to remove the tab using the functions.php or style.css files in the Kleo Child theme that would be awesome. Can someone point in the right direction? Code suggestions???

You can apply that logic you found in the link. Activate the child theme and copy that template in your child theme and make the changes
