ParticipantI am having an issue where no user can reset their password. They click the login button and the popup comes up. They hit the reset password link and enter their email, but the email never gets sent. I have tried turning off all plugins, issue persists.
I have been successful at manually entering in the URL to get to the backend forgot password form and the email sends fine from there. I am not sure what else I can try on my end.

ModeratorHello, have you tried disabling some plugins that could be creating an issue?
Have you tried using an STMP plugin?Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionOctober 20, 2015 at 01:54 #83287chrisbehnke
ParticipantIn the first post I stated: “I have tried turning off all plugins, issue persists.”
There is no plugin conflict. When I switch back to the default wordpress Twenty-Fifteen theme the reset password emails get sent meaning the server is configured properly to send emails. The email gets sent regardless of the plugins active.
With those pieces of information the only thing it could be is the theme.
So with all plugins off and only the sweetdate theme active there is nothing to get in the way.
Unless you are saying that the theme by itself can’t use the wordpress email function and I have to configure a specific one for it.

ParticipantHave you gotten the chance to take a look yet?

ModeratorThe issue was most probably generated by some plugin that you’re using, it was removing the ajaxurl js variable and that made the reset password call to fail. I have added a small code in your functions.php file to help re-define the ajaxurl, tested and everything works just fine now.
Cheers

ParticipantHi Andrei and Support Staff,
Is the code you wrote for this participant useful in all such circumstances, because I am having the same problem. User requests ‘password reset’ and receives an email with out the link.
“Someone has requested a password reset for the following account: http://projectwyld.com/ Username: maybeyou If this was a mistake, just ignore this email and nothing will happen. To reset your password, visit the following address: _______________”
With Gratitude,
