Hi there,
I just came across a glitch on the site profiles / buddypress site-wide activity.
I posted an update, and then my friend wanted to respond to that by commenting to it on the activity feed, but the POST button cannot be clicked and the comment is not posted.
I have attached a screenshot.
The site-wide activity for me website is https://imzaia.world/activity/ but I am currently still in development so you will have to log in to see what is going on. Admin details added privately.
Thank you!
Regards,
Yin

So, on SAFARI definitely the post comment option does not work on the profiles AND the site-wide activity feed.
However, on Chrome, the post comment option DOES work on the profiles but DOES NOT work on the site-wide activity feed.
It seems that, on the profiles, Chrome is able to just “slide open” a box when you click the Add Comment button. But on the site-wide activity, both Chrome and Safari, when you click Comment to a post, will actually go to a new URL, in this case https://imzaia.world/activity/?ac=235/#ac-form-235
I hope this helps because I have an intuitive vibe that this is where the glitch must be coming from.
Have a great weekend!

One final update from me regarding this: I have switched off RtMedia’s ability to post Media files in the Buddypress comments (I do not need this anyway) which causes the Post option to work on the Activity Feed and on the Profiles, both on Safari and Chrome! Very cool 🙂
However, I am just letting you know that, when RtMedia IS switched on, this Post button does not work for me, as explained in earlier posts.
I will however set this to Resolved, as things are working for me now and I have some more open tickets 🙂
