Search by State/City Issues

Hi, If a user is trying to filter by city or state profile fields, that have been typed by the users during registration, there are some issues… For instance, if a person types “OK” as their state, but the person searching types Oklahoma, no results come up. Other than making dropdowns with every city/state in the world, how can we work around this?
