    Hi SeventhQueen,

Love you theme! I was new to wordpress but I managed to build my website through your clear explanation on documentation. Great job! There’s only one issue that I’d like you to help me. I know little about php editing, and please excuse me on my English cuz it’s not my mother tongue.

My website is http://shanghaigreeters.com and I’m helping match visitors with locals and expats so they can plan a walking tour together. However, whenever I try I’m a “local” searching for “visitors” it only comes up with members who are “visitors” looking for “locals” only. Which make the search come back with very few matches. Originally people signed up and ticked multiple boxes like they can be locals but who choose to meet locals, expats, visitors. The search function only seems to bring back results for people who ticked one box, e.g. a local wants to meet expats, and the search will find the expats who ticked that they want to meet locals only. the people who ticked more than one box at sign up seem to be excluded e.g. a local wants to meet expats, but an expat who chose they want to meet a local AS WELL AS other expats will be omitted from the search result because they have a 2nd search parameter. Is it possible to have the search to also include the results for people who ticked multiple search choices as well?

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance.

Hi, is anybody there? Looking forward to your reply. Maybe I complicate the situation? I wonder if I change the form and the people who already signed up will not be matched.

Hi, That matching fields algorithm works with only one value fields. You can get read of one fields and just have User type field where users will be able to search by multiple choices if you add it to the form, so they will search by user type. Hope you understand what I try to explain. Mainly just have one field for user status and add that to the search form and remove it from the Matching fields in Sweetdate – Buddypress
