    Hello.

Currently when a search with no matching content occurs, this is the message on the results page

“Sorry, but nothing matched your search terms. Please try again with some different keywords.”

I need to change this message.

I found search.php but it refers to ‘// If no content, include the “No posts found” template.’

Where is “No posts found” template, so that I can amend the text.

    Thank you

Hello, you can use Loco Translate to change theme and plugin strings 🙂
Just need to go to Loco Translate, edit the language of the theme or a plugin, click SYNC and search for the string, then “translate” it

I think you are answering someone else’s query.

    I’ll try again:

Kleo theme > Home Page > Ajax Search Bar
User types their search but site has no content to match search.

    Search Result page displays:
“Sorry, but nothing matched your search terms. Please try again with some different keywords.”

I need to change this message on the search result page.
HOW DO I DO THIS ?

Hello, my post was for you 🙂
You can change that text using Loco Transate plugin, as its a translation plugin it allows you to change any string.
As i said “Just need to go to Loco Translate, edit the language of the theme or a plugin, click SYNC and search for the string, then “translate” (change) it”
For example find the word Search and add below the word Find, now search will show as Find

    Hey thanks.

I installed the loco translate plugin and followed the tutorial. I found the string and changed it.
Went back to the site and nothing has changed.

Please can you just tell me in which file I will find the wording that appears on the theme’s search results page when a search comes up empty.

    Search Result page displays:
“Sorry, but nothing matched your search terms. Please try again with some different keywords.”

I need to change this message on the search result page. If you could just tell me what file / sub-file it’s in then I can edit it myself.

    Thanks

    Hello, try this:
1- Copy the file content-none.php at main theme files
2- Paste it at the child theme
3- Edit it and edit the text

Let me know if it works 🙂

    Thank you.

All I needed was the name of the file where the text was kept.
    content-none.php

    Please close this as resolved.

Glad you could resolve it 🙂
Please keep in mind tat any change you do to the main theme will be lost if you update the theme, so you need to make changes at the child theme
