Hi there,
I am adding the KLEO search shortcode as a layer in the home page slider. When I add it, it appears w/o any width properties (see attached). Nothing I am trying is working at widening the search input box. Any ideas? Thanks!
Brian

February 18, 2018 at 16:18 #189035Kieran_SQModeratorGood morning Brian,
Thanks for sending those details through, I have now logged into your site to view the issue. I think I have rectified the issue, please visit your site and press Ctrl+F5 to clear the cache and check for the changes.
I did the following
– WP Admin > Slider Revolution > Slider Revolution > Edit Slider
– Highlighted search shortcode and centered the item (see screenshot)
– Added custom CSS to the slider (see screenshot and below).kleo-search-form {max-width: unset;min-width: 600px;}
You can always edit the CSS if you wish to make the search bar smaller or larger by adjusting the 600px value.
Let me know if this works for you.
Thanks,
Kieran

Glad it worked, feel free to open a new ticket any time and we’ll be happy to assist – I’ll mark this as resolved.
If you have a spare minute would you mind leaving the support receive / theme a review on ThemeForest? It would help me a great deal. https://themeforest.net/item/kleo-pro-community-focused-multipurpose-buddypress-theme/reviews/6776630

February 18, 2018 at 20:04 #189061getmebrianParticipantHi Kieran,
Is there a way to have the search results overlay all other content? See the image attached. I tried assigning a z-score to .kleo_ajax_results to see if that would work, but alas no luck… or maybe I did it wrong.
The search term “matrix” is a good one to use if you end up playing with it.
Thanks,
Brian

I have checked it out for you and I cannot find a way to make that work on the slider. I will refer this ticket to one of our developers for review to see if they can shed some light on making this work for you. They’ll be in touch as soon as they can, Monday to Friday, East European Time.
Thanks,
Kieran

February 19, 2018 at 18:34 #189180RaduModeratorHi,
The issue there it’s because you had added the search in a layer from revolution slider where the rev slider container cannot be higher than the slider size when the results are shown. You can try to make the entire slider taller. Check in wp-admin -> revolution slider -> your slider.
I taught it’s a a Z-index issue but the div that contains whole search cannot be pulled out of that containers.
Cheers
