Set a Portfolio as Homepage

I have created my homepage in portfolio, thinking it would appear in the list of static pages I can set as Homepage but it doesn’t show up. Why is that?

Because its not a page. Its a post… a custom post type to be exact.

You can build a portfolio ‘page’, but it wont be listed in your portfolios. That might not be an issue if you’re not going to have multiple portfolios.

The easy way to convert it to a page is to copy the code in classic mode from your portfolio into a new page. Be sure to delete the portfolio post.
