My site is for helping home owners looking for cleaning help connect with service providers.
I want ther site to match users with providers who will accept a certain rate or less per hour.
If there are options for an hourly rate of 11 12 13 14 15 per hour, and someone ticks off that they will pay 15- Can the algorythm be set to show them all providers at the rate of 15 and below?

The profile matching works off of profile fields and matches directly with the options selected. If you have options A, B, C, D , E and F in a drop down and a user selects D it will only be able to match on D.
However, you can use a multi select box as the field type instead of a drop down which will allow a user to select more than one option (Ctrl+click), this means it can match on A, B, C, D, E and/or F. If a user selects A and B and leaves the other options blank it will match on users that have A and/or B.
Thanks,
Kieran

May 23, 2018 at 06:17 #198655maid4lakewoodParticipantOk I am not sure I fully understand. I just logged in and performed the search as “A homeowner needing cleaning service” looking for “a cleaning helper”
And the site matched me up with other people who were ALSO looking for cleaning help. Where what we want is that the site should help connect those performing the cleaning service with those needing it.
How do I get my algorythm to do this correctly?
May 23, 2018 at 06:39 #198656Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
When I do a search for Homeowner looking for Cleaning Helper I get 5 results
COPY CODEAdmin Batsheva shayna Rachel Stein Miriam12
All five of those results have set that they’re a Homeowner looking for a Cleaning Helper and are what I would expect to be returned.
Can you please send me a screenshot of your search results for the same query.
Thanks,
Kieran
Edit: The user Batsheva has set they are and are looking for ‘Homeowner needing cleaning’ so there will be issues with this user and search results. Users kate, eastcrow and whatsername do not have any values set for these fields so should not return in the results.

I switched the logic for the form as you have two fields with pretty much the same data. I switched the fields in WP Admin > Users > Profile Search from the below
I’m a [I’m a]
Looking for [Looking for]
Location [Location for work to take place]To the following
Looking for [I’m a]
I’m a [Looking for]
Location [Location for work to take place]The content in the square brackets represents the labels for the fields. Let me know if this is now returning the correct results for you. Make sure to clear any search you have already in the members page and clear your cache (Ctrl+F5) for the latest revision of the form.
Thanks,
Kieran
