Several issues – menu, w3 cache plugin

Hi.

We purchased your theme after long consideration and really really love it. BUT, there have been a few issues.

First is that drop down menu doesn’t work on pages other than Home page (see attached), although it’s the same menu, set up in dashboard properly and all that.

Second, the site had a really really poor page speed rating so I installed w3 Total Cache plugin, which instantly messed up the whole theme/css but it did make the drop down menu work and it lowered the page loading time. The footer CSS completely gone, a few visual composer addons aren’t showing properly etc. All in screenshot.

Do you have any suggestions for these problems? Maybe some other plugin or other way to speed up the whole page?

Hi,

From my computer the menu works in all pages that i have navigated, please empty your browser cache or try form another computer or browser.

Also in inner pages the browser console shows some errors, that’s because you have minified some Js’s that are already minified.

Thanks, the clearing out cache worked for menu 🙂

I followed your tutorial for page speed and it really helped, got up to 88 on desktop and 73 on mobile BUT the footer is still broken and without any CSS, like in the picture I sent yesterday. Any ideas? Should change any plugin settings? You’re very helpful 🙂

Hi,

Maybe you have figure out/fixed the problem with the footer now the footer it’s displayed ok, by default footer is like in demo, don’t need any specific settings only to have widgets added to the footer sidebars

Yeah, it looks good on home page but not on other pages, like try here http://content3.diversisdigital.com/index.php/services/full-content-marketing/

There can be 2 causes for these,

1. You should purge all caches inclusive from the CDN servers

2. One of you used plugins can load bootstrap library over the existing one, so please purcge empty all caches, de-activate the w3 total cache and let me know when i can view your website without cache plugin, also i’ve noticed a problem on your website that can be caused by this, you mobile menu it’s not expanding.

Another cause for those problems can be minifying the resources that are already minified, so look in the w3 total cache settings for excluding resources and add the app.js and app.min.js files

It looks good when W3 is turned off but I really like how fast w3 makes the site. You can check it now.

Now the footer it looks ok, see the screenshot

No other plugin loads bootstrap framework, so the problems are caused by the minifying of JS in this case please add the exception list

You can add only file names app.js and app.min.js

I think your footer problem was caused by cache that remains in CDN

I added that, it’s better but still not as it should be. I can also notice some issues in Visual Composer addons on that same page, if you look at the FACTS part, colors of the rows change.

Please add resources to the exception list until the site it will works, you know the cause now please add the following resources to the exception list and then add the rest of them if it’s not sufficient, and after any change to the w3 total cache settings is mandatory to purge all caches!!

Thanks, can you be more precise? I’m not too familiar with all this stuff and could really use your help, really love your theme!

Also, there’s an issue with the portfolio add on for visual composer that came with the theme (Visual composer guys said it’s not their addon, but yours), could you see what’s that about as well? Sending you screenshots.

If you purge caches and de-activate the w3 total cache the portfolio it’s shown ?

Why you don’t try tow WP Super Cache it’s more easy to use.

The exception list area can be found at wp-admin -> w3 total cache -> performance -> page cache -> Never cache the following pages (scroll at bottom)
