Several Questions involving search and profiles

Hi,

I have a few questions:

1.       1. My Change Cover Image is no longer working. When I click to change the cover image, the box is empty unlike the Change Profile Photo which contains a quote and allows me to upload, take or delete a photo/file. How do I fix the Change Cover Image issue? I used to have a cover image from my admin profile but now it is gone.

2.      2.  On my profile side bar I have two search options. The first search uses GEO my WordPress and the second search uses Buddypress profile search. The Buddypress search works fine when logged in as my admin and takes me to the correct page (Members Grid) with the correct search results. However neither the Buddypress profile search nor the Geo my WordPress search works when logged in as test users and the search takes me to the wrong page (join us page) with no search results. When logged in as admin the Geo my WordPress search takes me to the right page but the results are wrong. When can’t my test users access the correct search results/page?

a.       Subpart to the above question. I understand I may need the Kloe plug in for Geo my WordPress to work in Kleo. I also understand the Geo my WordPress search works through the new location icon in the profile page. Under the Kleo plug in for Geo my WordPress, is there a way to have the Buddypress profile search fields either perform the geo search so members do not have to enter in the location icon or allow the profile fields to automatically fill in the fields under the Geo my WordPress location icon?

3.      3.  Is there a way to customize the forum pages and profile pages with the Visual Composer?

4.      4.  How do I get a LinkedIn social icon on the Add Element page of the Visual Composer?

1 – Budddypress 2.4 introduced profile covers. Before that we used BP Profile Cover plugin. You need to decide which one you want to use. If you want to continue to use BP Profile Cover plugin (suggested) then go to Settings > Buddypress > Settings and enable Replace BP functionality.

2 – The admin credentials you’ve supplied arent working, but my guess is that your test users are being block from those pages because of what you’ve set in Theme Options > Membership.

2 sub – There isnt a Kleo geo plugin, so not sure what you mean. Since Kleo only stylizes the output of both the Geo and Profile Search plugins, you’ll have to ask those developers if its possible. The BP Profile search plugin only searches BP extended profile data, so if the GEO add-on doesnt store the users location in extended profile fields, then I doubt its possible.

3 – No, not really. You can create new pages with forum data, but not use them to replace the main pages. Both BP and bbp uses php templates to display pages.

4 – You can use the either Kleo Icon or Icon shortcodes to add a link to LinkedIN.

I will check the theme options>membership tonight and change the profile settings on Buddypress. I will let you know how it goes.

I think you have a great theme. I am a first time WordPress user and Kleo makes it pretty easy to make a nice looking site.
