Side is NOT changing colors

Hi There,

I need to make my temp site http://biz229.inmotionhosting.com/~class164/

look exactly like this site – classiccutlery.ca

This means – 1) making the Sidebar on the home page, and all other pages, the left sidebar BLACK in color>
I have tried through Kleo – and nothing is changing the colors.

Please advise. It appears there is a bUG. The only thing I can thing of, is the menu on the home page (side – left menu) is now a widget.. But still the Left-Side needs to be in BLACK.
