Site broke on theme update

Hi! I just updated http://veggistreff.com/ from sweetdate 2.9.8 to 2.9.11, and the site broke. We use a child theme. This is the error on the site:

I restored the site from yesterdays backup now. But still would like to know if you can tell me why the site brook upon updating the theme

Hello, seems an issue with the plugin snapshot, if you have any custom code in the child theme related to that plugin, try removing it
Otherwise, you would need to disable the plugin
