    I have tested this in my local install and the sku works perfectly in single products and also in variations.
    If you have made any modifications to the theme I recommend you to disable them, also if you have any WooCommerce related plugins please check if they don’t interfere in some how.

    Mine are not displaying either, and i deactivated all plug-ins related too woocommerce

    @krazykaze I see you don’t have Visual composer active and that page is not displaying properly now.
