Sliders and Columns w/ Events Calendar

I am using Events Calendar and one of the issues i’m experience is that I cannot set sliders above the calendar through the Kleo theme.  Apparently Events Calendar does not function like a “Page” so I can’t modify the layout like a typical page (hoping this changes eventually).  It seems, the only way I can place a slider above the calendar is though some html code on the Events Calendar Setting menu.  The problem with this is that when I change my site layout to include a Sidebar, that column overlaps the slider.

Is there any way to resolve this through the theme? I would prefer to set the slider on a typical page – but then I can’t place the calendar. I’m hoping that one dat the Events Calendar can be places as a widget on a page – but it’s not currently built like that.

for the page with the Events calendar, I would like it to have a transparent header, but the Events Calendar does not operate like a conventional page. it does not show up in “Pages”. Do you know how I can have that page transparent while turning it off for all other pages?

I do not.
