social aspect taken out

Hi!  this is my site club.lenay.tv and originally i was going to have a blog (portfolio style) AND a social network. so people can see the blog posts and comment and have their own profiles etc.  now I’m wondering (for hosting space reasons) if i can do 2 things:

1.  if i can just have the Kleo portfolio layout where people can view it but not interact. ie. not be able to comment or have their own profiles or register. just view it.

2.  if people can register and comment but not customize profiles (if this would save on hosting space because they won’t be uploading photos etc.?)  do you know if this option is much of a hosting space difference than option 1?  or if i do this option it can be without profiles? or is that even much of a space difference?

Yes you can do that. That’s is what a Blog is. Just WordPress without the buddypress plugin installed. 🙂

ok cool! do you know how to disable the buddy press part without upsetting anything else? thanks!

Without buddypress you wont have any buddypress pages, including the profile. There’s no way around that without extensive coding.
