First, I’m not totally sure how your team is related to development of SweetDate, but want to say it is an truly awesome product!
I have accomplished a lot already but I have a series of questions about how I get my website exactly where I want it. I do my best at generalizing the questions, but it’s probably helpful to understand a bit about what I’m trying to achieve overall: FYR Golf is a match making service for golfers and golf game organizers; there’s nothing romantic here, it’s about making connections around shared interests for golf. Essentially organizers create games and then invite users they match with, or golfers ask to be invited to games hosted by their matching organizers.
Here are my questions. The numbers are for reference not for priority.
1. 1. How do I tie a member profile field (BuddyPress) to a membership level? I want the user type (organizer or golfer) determined by the membership level purchased.
2. 2. Is it possible to differentiate profile appearance by user type? E.g. could each membership type have different field titles?
3. 3. I want to add custom fields for groups, do you have a recommendation for the best plugin to use here? Are there any work around for this that exist in the standard SweetDate package?
4. 4. How do I change referenced resources in SweetDate/Kleo? For example, on the home page I’d like to use much of the structure provided with the demo, but want to replace some of the graphics. E.g. how do I change the icon referenced in [kleo_status_icon type=”total” subtitle=”All Members”] to one of my own?
5. 5. How do I change/edit the default color scheme for new member profiles.
6. 6. Can I have a unique navigation menu for each membership level? I have a free membership level where access is restricted to certain areas, I’d like to have these not show in their nav menu. Unlogged or unregistered members would get yet another nav.
7. 7. How do I edit posts that show in the landing page carousel (kleo_posts_carousel)?
8. 8. How do I change hard set theme/plugin characteristics? E.g. I want to rename ‘groups’ (Buddy Press) to ‘games’.
9. 9. How can I edit font size for the navigation bar?
10. 10. Is there any included location radius or ‘near me’ search filtering or profile matching? Basically, a way to connect users based on proximity that’s more expansive than city to city or state to state matching? If not, do you have a recommended plugin to accomplish this.
11. 11. How do I provide ‘both’ or ‘all’ options for matching? E.g. “I am looking for… {male}, {female}, {both} and have the both option match to both male and female?
Thanks in advance for your help, and sorry for asking 10 question all at once. I worked through as much as I could over the last week and these are the places I’m stuck.
Thanks,
Adam
