I don’t know how to change the search button to ‘signup’, so it takes you to the second stage of the sign up process.

Search Form
Choose what to display in the Homepage form:
Disabled – Do not show any form
Search form – Show a configurable search form
Register form – Display a register form
Mixed form – If the user is logged in show a search form, else show the register form
