Hi,
I have a long-form narrative post that needs More tag, but it doesn’t seem to work. Would you please help?
Thanks,

May 17, 2018 at 15:35 #197953wilhalphotoParticipantnope. it doesn’t help. i had done as the article suggested.
but could it be that KLEO is not compatible with MORE tag — as suggested here:
“The other downside of using a More Tag is if you use a theme that uses excerpts, then it will override the More Tag and provide an excerpt with the length defined by your theme.”May 18, 2018 at 11:16 #198003LauraModeratorHello, will assign the ticket to a higher support level who can help and advise you in your query.

May 18, 2018 at 16:55 #198048RaduModeratorHi,
You are write posts in visual composer ?!
Anyway using the read more tag without visual composer and kleo theme the same issue occurs
Maybe it comes from wp itself ?
As a workaround you can use kleo accordions or tabs and writing your article summary at the top and inside the accordion/tab the read more text, it will displayed after expanding.
Cheers

It looks that it’s happening the same no matter which theme it’s running. Maybe it’s a wordpress bug or a conflict with wp and other plugin or plugin with plugin, try to de-activate them all and check again it that it works.
Let me know
Cheers

Need to trim them first perhaps–before troubleshooting it further.thanks!
June 8, 2018 at 15:16 #200309RaduModeratorHi,
I don’t know exactly, to can find out i recommend you in first instance to de-activate all plugins and check if it works, if not it means it could be something directly from worpress, if it works it means one of those plugins casuses that and you should enable all plugins back one by one while you check if the read more tag still works, when you see it stop working you will figoure out what plugin was activated earlier.Cheers
