Thanks and Quoted message styling issue – GD bbpress Toolbox

i am using this wonderful plugin (GD bbpress Toolbox) and i am encountering minor styling issues.

1. the quoted message produces extra or different characters
2. the ‘thanks’ text is too large – how can i change the size?
3. also, how can i change the style of the quoted message to italicized?
