Hello, I am not able to see theme updates in my WP Admin. I have entered my Themeforest username and API key. I used to get theme updates, but since July I have not been able to see them.
In July I wasn’t able access my WP Admin and so I opened a ticket with my host (Page.ly). This is what they said:
Hello,
while the error is a little unusual it seems that the problem is with some code in your theme trying to contact Envato’s (the company behind Theme Forest) servers when accessing /wp-admin/ and those calls are currently hanging and making wp-admin inaccessible. The calls are likely checking whether there any updates available for the theme that you are using.
I have temporarily disabled that feature on http://www.3domusa.com with the code on lines 337-339 in wp-content/themes/kleo/kleo-framework/inc/pixelentity-themes-updater/class-envato-protected-api.php and was able to access /wp-admin/ after that change, and I’ve now applied the same to http://www.fargo3dprinting.com. I would suggest checking with the theme’s author to see if they are aware of the issue or whether they can get any additional information directly from Envato.
I recently had them undo that code modification but when they did I was no longer able to access WP Admin. So I had them re-enable that code modification.
Is there a solution to this? Or maybe a way to update the theme manually?
Thank you.

December 21, 2015 at 20:58 #94674sharmstrModeratorYeah, sometimes it can be tricky. The best thing I’ve found is to be on the main kleo forum page (not in a sub forum) and use the search form in the right sidebar. If you use the search forms at the top of the forum pages, it limits the results to whatever forum/subforum you are in.

December 21, 2015 at 21:05 #94678sharmstrModeratorI’ll let the developers know
