You can update the plugin manually by downloading the last cersion of the theme and take the plugin from the downloaded folder.

September 2, 2014 at 12:42 #27296CatalinModeratorHello,
The last version should be 1.6.3 and can be found in the theme folder. You can update it manually getting the archive plugin from the theme folder or you can update it automatically from the plugins page where the update notifications are displayed.
Thank you,
CatalinHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionSeptember 2, 2014 at 14:39 #27308CatalinModeratorHello,
You will need to uninstall the plugin, delete it via ftp, copy the new version from the theme folder on the plugins folder and activate it from admin panel. I think your issue comes from permissions on your files from the wordpress folder.
Thank you,
CatalinHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionSeptember 2, 2014 at 14:56 #27311sandervm86ParticipantYeah i did this 5 times already, but after the upload and fresh install of k-elements it still says 1.6.0
so in my eyes themeforest dont got the latest version, or it just wont work..(even tryed it at this moment again)
Permissions are all set to 777 and even then it won’t work.. i’m already trying to fix this for 2 weeks
Greetings,
SanderSeptember 2, 2014 at 15:01 #27313CatalinModeratorwe uploaded the latest version of the plugin from the folder of the theme… I am not sure what causes this but it seems not an issue with the theme… you could try a WordPress fresh install on a sub-folder and activate the theme and the plugin there… if so, let me know of you still have the same issue.
Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionSeptember 2, 2014 at 15:05 #27316sandervm86ParticipantYeah but that means i need to do a fresh install (again did this before last update to) and reinstall everything (messages/pages/menus etc) i understand that that can work out but its not a option to have fresh install after all the updates..
or do i understand it wrong?
September 2, 2014 at 15:09 #27318CatalinModeratorwhat I am saying is to install a new WordPress in a sub folder, activate the theme without configuring it and see if you can activate the plugin and check if you have the same issue… I tested the plugin update thing on my test server and it works correct so I am trying to figure out where is the problem on your side.

September 2, 2014 at 15:22 #27322sandervm86ParticipantAnd what i did: took the k-elements plugin from that fresh installer and placed it inside the website.
K Elements
Wordpress elements using easy to add shortcodes
Versie: 1.6.3 | Door SeventhQueenThat worked!, if you got any tips to fix the updating part, would be much appriciated.
