My top level menus are not working anymore. I updated to Buddypress 1.9 and WordPress 3.8 which have speedup my site nicely. The sub menus work fine and if I select the page from the breadcrumbs I can see it. it’s only the main menu top level menus that have sub-menus items associated with them that I’m having issues. If there is no sub-menu items the top level works fine.

    Hi,
That shouldn’t have affected your menu. Go to Appearance – Menus and see if there is something wrong with them or see any plugins you have installed lately

I too am experiencing this issue, I tried this theme out on a different server and it’s worked fine, however on my primary domain with all other addons disabled the top level of the menus are automatically hashes so groups should be http://www.avoovoo.com/groups but actually are http://www.avoovoo.com/#

Issue stops as soon as I change the theme

    More:

This bug only affects the main menu area, I added the same menu as a custom menu in the widgets area and works fine.

My issue still stands but I’ve just realised this is a SweetDate post, my issue relates to Kleo. Sorry.

Hi mikehalson, It works in Sweetdate. Make sure you are adding menu items with proper links

Hi, for custom links you need a plugin or something to generate the base to logged in user profile. Buddypress links can be added from Appearance – Menus – Screen options

I’m still having the problem – top level links don’t work if there’s a secondary level, and secondary level links don’t work if there’s a third level. I’ll make the prototype site live for a while so you can see it – http://www.single-living.com
I’ve been working with WordPress for many a long year and it’s nothing to do with getting the links wrong. I also tried disabling every single plugin but it made no difference. Looking at the source code, i couldn’t tell what the problem was either.

I just entered your site and links do work. What browser are you using?
