I’ve tried using the CodeStyling Localization plugin to translate into German. However, I run the rescan I get an error message:
You are trying to read files that your PHP memory limit in MB NaN during the analysis is overrun. Enable low memory mode, please.I’ve enabled this mode, without success. What I am doing wrong?
My WordPress Dashboard is in German now, I only need to translate the SD Theme.
Can it be that my current host is a playground? A development environment with 2GB. I work out with bplaced webspace, for my testings.I also tried using the tool Poedit to translate the text files. How should I implement this now? My own translation is not really proffessionell.
Thank u, for answers.
November 13, 2013 at 01:05 #6544SQadminKeymasterYou probably need to increase php memory_limit to 128MB. Talk at your hosting.
For poedit you can find plenty of info on using it, like http://betterwp.net/wordpress-tips/create-pot-file-using-poedit/

November 28, 2013 at 00:24 #7405SQadminKeymasterHi,
If you have translated all the strings from the Sweetdate theme you need to translate also Buddypress strings. Use Codestyling localization plugin for an easy translation process. After you translate the strings from Buddypress click the button to generate the .mo fileHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. do you have a translation in dutch or does anyone wants to help me with the translation for my website. i installed the : CodeStyling Localization plugin but i don’t understand how to work with it.December 20, 2013 at 15:33 #8614AbeKeymasterHi, In CodeStyling Localization you can translate the theme and all plugins you have installed.
In the list, find Sweetdate theme, scan for strings, translate the strings related to kleo_framework domain and click to generate .mo file. The same logic applies to other plugins like Buddypress, bbPress.

Unfortunately it is only 99.9% done as some words were hard for my translators. It can be easily updated by more modern users 🙂
By such, how can i share the .po file ?

1. install a multiuser wordpress
2. install a fresh foreign language wordpress into a sub-directory. Ex: http://www.mydomain.com/sp
3. Install WP Codestyling localization plugin
4. Translate Sweetdate theme into your language of your choice using the Codestyling localization plugin. Use the same principle for all the plugins used for the theme to work.
5. Generate .mo files for theme and plugins used for the them to work. Are those steps to follow correct? Am I missing something else?
THANKS in advance for all your support and God bless!

If you want multilingual then you need WPML plugin and you don’t need a separate install for each language. You will do the translations from WPML plugin in each language so you skip step 2 and replace with WPML installation because all others are fineCheers

I found out that qtranslate is basically as good as wpml and the only difference is that qtranslate is free… Do I necessarily have to use WPML? Is it the only choice?
February 8, 2014 at 21:08 #10762escortParticipantWonder if one of you guys got a chance to look into my question… THANKS!
February 8, 2014 at 21:15 #10764AbeKeymasterHi, Basically you can use it since WPML is not required. Theme is translatable so it should work with that too
