Translation issue

Hi,

First, thanks for this aesome theme ! Was really great buying it !

This is the website I am working on : http://www.france-coree.com/

 

However, I have some questions and inquiries :

 

1-I was trying to activate the slider revolution plugin with my envato code but didn’t work.

 

2-I am currently making a website for 2 different languages : FR (French) and KR (Korean)

The French version is working well, but the Korean one has some problems:

-Even after automated the translation of the member page and the group page (with polylang), I can’t display the korean version of the member page and the group page (there is still a problem after making a search, the user is redirected to the french version; it is impossible to access to the profiles in korean, or even to the group page)

-Also, the login pop up in the lobby has 2 sentences I can’t translate with loco translate : “Forgot your username of password” and “remember me”

Is there is any way to have it translated ?

 

3-I have a forum but I would like to have it available (the same one) for both versions : FR and KR. But I can’t add directly the link of the FR forum in the main menu since it will redirect the user without his consent to the french version. How could I make it work better ? Any suggestion could be very appreciated !

The problem with the upload of images is solved. I dont really kbow what happened but it works now. However I still need help for the rest please.

Hello, i would suggest to use a multisite, have a korean version of the site and a french version.
you could use a subdomain for korean version like kr.domain.com
This way you can have all site in korean including posts, forums etc

Just wondering. Having a multisite allows also to use the same database of user ? When they subscribe do they subscribe on both version of the website ? Is the member search and group page will be using the same user database ?

Also, if I make a multisite, do all the settings I have done so far (website, plugins…) will be saved. I don’t want to lose all the settings… please advise me.

I prefer having only one website because I think it will be easier to manage and avoid any problems with the user database. But if you are sure that this is the solution and that it is possible to use the same database for registering, creating a group, searching… I am open to go this way.

Hello, well you can use buddypress multisite and share the user database, but they would need to redo their profile because of the fields etc…
If you prefer to no complicate things then better a single site, i am going to check out your issue and let you know

If you want to have your both language versions in one site then you must be aware that buddypress is doesn’t work extremely fine in multi-language setup, I recommend you to contact the Polylang plugin authors to help you with any issues between buddypress and the multilanguage system. You can also choose to use WPML which has an additional plugin for enhancing buddypress support.

Your other issues with the search results are also triggered by something now working in the Polylang plugin.

Also we didn’t built any specific integration for Polylang because we support WPML which from our opinion is a much more stable solution.

Well thank you for your response ! I just wonder if I buy the 195$ version of wpml if you could help migrate and install the plugin ? In effect I would like to keep all the translation I have done so far and make the website ready to use in the korean version.

We might be able to give you a quote for the wpm setup but not with the translation because we don’k know the language and lots of errors might appear in the final translation.

In your wpml account please download and install the “string management” and “buddypress multilanguage” plugins. You can also read into wpml documentation about how to use them.
