    Hi there,

I’m using SweetDate with German language setting and using LocoTranslate to add missing translations.

This works fine so far, however, I encountered two issues:

    1) Register Layer (header top right) => there is no translation string available for “Remember me” and “Forgot your username or password”

    2) Account activation emails (and I suspect other emails too), are send out in English, although German translations are available in Buddypress PO/MO file

    Thanks for your help

    Michael

Short update: I could solve problem No. 1). Strangely enough I had to sync more than once with LocoTranslate but now these strings are included.

Still have problem No. 2) though.

    Thanks
    Michael

Hello, at your admin panel you should have a section called Emails. In that section you can Change all email templates 🙂

    Hello Laura,

Unfortunately I still have the issue that some strings don’t translate on the page although translations are available in loco translate.

    Example:
If you go to http://seniorsandkids.de/mitglieder/, you will see that “All Members (x)” and “My Friends (x) are not translated, even though there are translations available in buddypress-de_DE.po (in the sweetdate po file, these strings are not available at all).

    Thanks for you help

Hello, did you translate the theme too? Did you try to update the strings by clicking SYNC?

    Hi Laura,

yes, I did translate the theme, too, via Loco Translate. And I clicked SYNC several times.
The strings in question “All Members (x)” and “My Friends (x)” are not listed in SweetDate at all, though, but are listed and translated in the buddypress section of Loco Translate.

    Thanks
    Michael

    No, unfortunately not.
    Re-copying the problem description:

Hello, go to Loco Translate, check buddypress plugin and buddypress related plugins and also the theme, click SYNC and wait so it adds new strings then search to find the missing ones

    Hi Laura,

I already did that and the strings are already there in Loco Translate and translated.
However, the frontend still shows only the English original texts.

    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi Laura,

finally, I found a solution myself. Completely deleting buddypress and reinstalling did the trick..

    Ticket can be closed now.

    Thanks
    Michael
