Transparent Cart and Search Drop Down Window

Hello,

Whenever I hover over the cart icon or click the search icon, both which open a drop down window, they appear to be transparent, or at least obscured by the menu bar categories which appear to overlap the content on the drop down windows. How can I make these windows appear solid and not obscured by the main menu?
