I am desperately trying to get a search form for the updates within Buddypress. I installed BP Global Search and it works great in the sense that it returns the right results, but the links to other views or other pages of results do not work – you try to click them and they don’t go anywhere. They also don’t serve up nicely in the Kleo style.
Has anyone successfully integrated BP Global search or something similar?
Thanks!!
April 6, 2015 at 01:21 #53338empoweredanimalsParticipantI also have a request in on their forum, but I’m pretty sure the issue is in that it’s not syncing up well with Kleo. The results it brings back area great – searches the user updates, etc. But I need pages that work! 🙂
April 6, 2015 at 02:34 #53341sharmstrModeratorI just installed it. Can you be specific about what doesnt work? Filters and pagination works fine. Links in the results work as well for me.
The only thing that is wonky is the styling but that’s to be expected.

Links to other pages do not work (link titles are 1,2,3,4, etc.) and the link to the blog results also doesn’t work. But the link to the filter that shows results only in groups and members does work.
Here’s my site (I have the search plugin activated right now but will need to uninstall soon before people get upset): http://animalbuildingblocks.com
For example, the link to the posts on a search for peanut is https://animalbuildingblocks.com/?s=peanut&subset=posts you have to right click to get the URL. This URL will work, but the Posts link with that URL is not clickable.
I did try the other way to have groups and members in part of the Ajax search on Kleo but that option isn’t working for me – and I’m not sure it actually searches member activity anyway, or just member and group names.

If there’s any way to get help de-wonkifying the style too that would be great. 🙂
April 6, 2015 at 16:17 #53388sharmstrModeratorYour filters are clickable, but your site is throwing jQuery errors. See attached.
It works on my site because my site isnt throwing errors. So its neither a Kleo or a BP Global Search issue.
