Can someone update my sites theme to Kleo 3? I just realized that I didn’t have the newest theme as I was downloading plugins. My site is currently Kleo 2. I’ve added my log-in and API to word-press and switched the website into maintenance mode. Thank you

Themeforest updated their auto update code many many months ago. You’ll have to update once via FTP. Once you do that you’ll receive theme update notices again. https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/steps-to-update-kleo-theme

I tried to update it manually and it didn’t work. The last automatic update that I received months ago turned my site black and someone from your support staff reversed the update in order to restore my site. I’ve been operating on the older platform ever since. Is there someone who can assist me with the site via FTP?

The error message was missing a style css. I even tried to upload it as a new theme after renaming the files, but an error message said the folders already existed. I also tried as a plugin. Nothing is working and this is my 3rd day trying to update this theme.

None of those ways are considered updating via FTP. You need to FTP the files to your server, not install via WP Admin. As outlined in the update link I gave you

    “2. Manual update by FTP.
    – Connect to your server.
    – Go to wp-content/themes/ and copy “kleo” folder to your computer so you have a backup of your old files.
    – Extract kleo.zip that you have downloaded from Themeforest. Make sure the resulting “kleo” folder has a style.css in it. Delete on your server all files inside wp-content/themes/kleo and then copy all files inside “kleo” folder to your server in wp-content/themes/kleo

Last step is to go in WP Admin – Theme options and save the options since some dynamic elements might have been added and to make sure you get the latest styling.”

Will it work if I overwrite the files using Filezilla?

Awesome. Make sure you update the required plugins after Kleo is updated. Appearance > Install Plugins
