    I followed these instructions..still stuck at 3.1 any advise??

    To update the theme you have several options.:

    Before updating the theme make sure to backup your files

    1. Automatic updates:
    – Go to WP admin – Theme options – Theme Update
    – Enter Themeforest username and API KEY
    – Save the options
    – Go to WP admin – Dashboard (link should be like: /wp-admin/update-core.php) and you should see the theme there if there is a new update available
    – Click the checkbox next to it and click to Update themes

    2. Manual update by FTP.
    – Connect to your server.
    – Go to wp-content/themes/ and copy “kleo” folder to your computer so you have a backup of your old files.
    – Extract kleo.zip that you have downloaded from Themeforest. Make sure the resulting “kleo” folder has a style.css in it. Delete on your server all files inside wp-content/themes/kleo and then copy all files inside “kleo” folder to your server in wp-content/themes/kleo

    Last step is to go in WP Admin – Theme options and save the options since some dynamic elements might have been added and to make sure you get the latest styling.

    Hi, what option did you choose? Manual or automatic? If you added your API key and TF username in Theme options – Theme update for auto updates you should see the update in WP admin – Dashboard – Updates

    I did BOTH Method twice giving same results..does not update to newer version.

    Also..at the dashboard/updates it says themes are up to date.It does not reflect that in the theme

    Im gonna try again befoer I give ya credetials..Im stubborn..I will get back to you by Sunday. thanks alot I really appreciate your fast response..I MUST be doing something wrong…the CSS says that date is 2016 but I open it up and it says it’s 3.1 I dunno..gonna start from the top and work on it today.

    I recommend doing a manual update. just rename the existing kleo theme folder and upload the new one

    child theme remains as it was. it does not get an update

    @pssawhney if you can’t update after you entered the API key and username in Theme options – Theme update please try using https://github.com/envato/envato-wordpress-toolkit
