Update WordPress

Hello Sqadmin,
There is a new update for WordPress 3.6.1.
I don’t know how to do it and I don’t want to lose all the work that I have done in my website.
I am using FTP from Godaddy. Do I have to do a back up?
Would you please tell me the steps to upgrade my WordPress version?

Hi,
Yes before doing an upgrade please backup all your files from the wordpress install by FTP and export your mysql database(backup) just to be safe.
Normally nothing wrong should happen but better to be safe.
From admin just do automatic upgrade.
