Updating "member profile photo" fails

When I try to update a member photo, on a profile page, the system throws an error that says “No editor could be selected”.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just searched all the code and that error comes from WordPress in wp-includes/media.php. Google searches indicated its a lack of gd on your server?
