Hi,

I ahve a problem to upload picture. Some users told me that dont let to upload cos the file is too big, can I change that? to allow it? I installed this plugin “Imsanity” but neither let me to upload.

Hi,

I think that is not only for the weight of the file, because I wanted upload a file with 600K but the dimension of the picture was big and didnt let me until resize to width: 1024px

Now my limit to upload is 8MB but I try to upload some picture that size is maybe 4 or 3MB and dont let me to upload, if I check the size of this pict is 3888x2592px, but if I change to 1000x667px, then let me upload.

If you prefer, I can create a user for you to check it…

The only place I had an issue with uploading is for the buddypress avatar. BP Cover Photo and rtMedia uploads were fine. Is that where you’re having the issue?

No, the problem is all time in all the places, when I try to upload by phone or some big file to new post in activity…

I will attached a file for example where appear the mistake ok? Then you can try with this file to get the same mistake than me,

You will see that the pict is the same that in my home but the pict from the home page was saved with different size, was reduced weight and size.

I’m going to come back to this. I’m exhausted. Will let you know what I find out. Can I disable the two image size plugins and the bp like (which causes a ton of problems with sites) while I’m testing?

I dont know. But it eats up a ton of resources. Its coded wrong. I’ve talked about it here before, but the short answer is this…

I click like on an activity = 1 admin-ajax call (no problem)
I click like on another activity = 2 admin-ajax calls ( Hmmmmm )
I click like on another activity = 4 admin-ajax calls ( what?)
I click like on another activity = 8 admin-ajax calls ( whoa )

You can google admin-ajax to see how it taxes the server. Now imagine all your users scrolling through the activity feed and clicking multiple likes.

I think part of the upload problem is your server taking so long to process large images. It has to not only save the original, but make thumbnail, med and large version of the image as well. I have no problem uploading that image you gave me to my sites.

and, you’ll notice in the image that those ajax calls are pending. Thats because its taking server resources to process which is slowing everything down.

Thanks for your attention, then what can I do? Can I change something ? I don’t know what can I do…but I don’t know why only happend with pictures because with music or video that also is maybe 4MB don’t happen…only with big pictures.

Dunno how test it, and neither why appear a lot of ajax…

But if I cannot solve it I will not get users because usually the people like to upload their pictures, etc…

My guess it that because there’s no processing of videos and music files. There is processing of images once its uploaded. Anyhow, I’m taking a look at it now.

I’ve done more testing and have verified that its not Kleo related because it also happens on the WP 2015 Theme. You should contact rtMedia to see if they have a solution for you.

I just contact with theme and I was reading about, and they say that the problem is with the compatibility with the theme. But u could upload the my pict in your website when u test?

Sorry for not getting to this sooner. It been a bit crazy around here.

Anyhow, the bp like issue not theme compatibility since it happens with the WordPress 2015 theme as well.

I did more testing and I believe its an issue with your server. Your site throws an error even when trying to upload that image with WP Admin > Media. Even with the WP 2015 theme enabled and rtMedia disabled. It might be directory permissions issue.

Try enabling wp debug and setting display to true to see if you can see an error telling you why.

Hi!

I was talking with my hosting and they made do a private servidor for that but now just appear other problem. I can upload pictures without any problem but I cannot acces to the wp-admin and neither send any post, don’t work.

I was checking some possible probelm but I cannot find anyone, if I remove the theme and use theme default, I can do everything but if I use your I cannot.

Can you help me? if you need some acces I can give you. Thanks at all.

You site is throwing internal server errors. Enable wp_debug and set the display to true to see the error message.

Also, since you are running Kleo 3.0.5, you also need to update Visual Composer to 4.6.1

You need to allocate more memory.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 491520 bytes)
