After going to my home page and editing some minor text, which had nothing to do with formattting just a text change, now all of the sudden my home page is no longer showing the search form and my background image, and it’s also showing in ‘boxed’ form even though I have not chosen that in the settings. Also, the title is showing on the front end (Home) at the very top.
I have tried everything I know of to fix, including uninstalling and re-installing Sweetdate and Sweetdate child themes, and repairing and optimizing the database, but it is still happening. It’s like something is not communicating to my page to tell it to show these items.
I really need help with this soon, I have taken my site down because it looks so bad now. I have no idea how this happened, but it’s extremely frustrating and I’m out of options. Please help as soon as you can.
Thanks.

However when I disable PM Pro plugin, then I can edit pages again and buttons function.
I was able to hide the title on the page, but nothing else is fixed even after disabling PM Pro and rebooting my server. I disabled all plugins one by one and found the only one causing issues is PM Pro, but I have to have it and just paid $200 for a membership so not sure what to do.
And I still have the issues of the home page search form and my background image not showing on the home page. Still cannot figure out why this is happening after several hours of troubleshooting. 🙁

August 16, 2016 at 03:23 #132609garrett800ParticipantNo, there is no custom code that was added. The search form and my banner pic just disappeared. However, I did notice that the issue happened after I updated PM Pro plugin. So I disabled PM Pro plugin, but they still didn’t come back. So I don’t know if it was something in the PM Pro update that caused it, or if that was just coincidental that they happened at the same time. So this is still an issue. Were you able to see anything by logging into my WP admin?
August 17, 2016 at 19:14 #132887LauraModeratorHello, yes i logged in and saw many custom changes to the theme, that is why i asked. Could you try to disable all plugins but the ones required by the theme to see if it works?
Aso, try to backup your child theme and theme settings and reinstall the theme with a new .zip from themeforest

August 17, 2016 at 22:01 #132918garrett800ParticipantI did every single thing you suggested. Disabled all plugins except for Buddypress, bbpress, and rtmedia. Search form and image still did not show up. Then with all the plugins still disabled, I uninstalled both the Sweedate parent and child themes, then re-installed them from a fresh download from Themeforest. Still nothing.
I thought it might be something with the home page itself, so I messed with some of the settings on the page editor but still nothing.
I have since re-enabled all the plugins and my custom settings. All of this took a couple hours, but still no results at all to get the search form and my image to re-appear. It doesn’t make sense because I did a fresh install and all the plugins were disabled.
I’m out of ideas. 🙁
August 17, 2016 at 23:06 #132926garrett800ParticipantIs there any custom code I could add to force them to show up again?

August 22, 2016 at 23:10 #133453garrett800ParticipantI’ve already done that twice. The second time I downloaded a new install of child and parent from Themeforest and installed them on my WordPress. I’m not sure how doing it a third time will work.
