Hey guys,
I know Social Articles is the recommended plugin for user articles. However, since this plugin hasn’t been updated in over a year, I was wondering if anyone here might have some better options?

Also you need an alternate plugin to set user roles with Social Articles, if you want users to be able to add articles, which is kinda the whole point anyway.

So now I’m contemplating either to install WPFront User Role Editor and keep using Social Articles, or to delete Social Articles and install WP User Frontend instead, which seems to have the user capabilities implanted so you don’t have to add yet another plugin just for user role editing. Plus, it is an active plugin, not dead like Social Articles seems to be. I do however worry about the 3.6 star rating though :-/

Anyone have any experience or recommendations on this particular issue? Perhaps alternate solutions?

I really don’t feel comfortable having “very old” or outdated plugins in my collection. It is not just about functionality breaking, but also about security.
