User login/password issues

Hi,

we have two related issues:

1)Upon registration , users have to “activate” their account event though account activation option is disabled, they are also not getting registration emails nor activation emails. In any case we want to disable that “activation” nonsense.

2) Even if I generate user password manually, users are not able to update their details. If they try to change details they are getting ” Your current password is invalid. No changes were made to your account. ” error.

If users are registered and entering their email to reset/forgot the password – they are not getting it.

I noticed  on Themeforest comments section that other users who purchased BuddyApp theme are having exactly  the same issues. Please advise how to solve this issue ASAP.
