Whenever a user signs up they fail to get the verification email and if I use admin privileges to activate the user I get an error message when I try to login using the information given. I created an account to test the functionality.
June 3, 2018 at 04:31 #199727Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
This is a known bug in BuddyPress 3.0 and not related to / something to do with KLEO so we cannot fix it. However, there is a patch available that will be rolled into BuddyPress 3.1. If you would like to manually patch this yourself in the meantime then please do the following.
Replace the contents of the below file
wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-functions.php
With the code content from this page https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/src/bp-core/bp-core-functions.php?rev=12128
Thanks,
Kieran.

June 3, 2018 at 05:01 #199730Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
I am a member of the support team, we all have the term ‘moderator’ in blue under our names, whereas a regular user has ‘participant’ in gray.

June 3, 2018 at 05:28 #199735jay-leandroParticipantOk I understand. Thanks.
I’ve had the code replaced but it still doesn’t seem to have patched the problem.June 3, 2018 at 05:33 #199739Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
With the updated code in place please try going to WP Admin > Tools > BuddyPress > Check: ‘Reinstall Emails’ and then submit repair items button. Try the signup process again.
If the above does not work then please can you update this ticket, in a private reply, with admin credentials for your WordPress site as well as SFTP / FTP details for your host so I can look into this for you.
Thanks,
Kieran

June 3, 2018 at 05:48 #199743jay-leandroParticipantError 406 – Not Acceptable
Generally a 406 error is caused because a request has been blocked by Mod Security. If you believe that your request has been blocked by mistake please contact the web site owner. It works now but I received this error upon trying to sign in. Do you still need those credentials?
June 3, 2018 at 05:51 #199747Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
Glad that the issue has been resolved. With regards to the error 406 that is exclusively related to your host and their implementation of mod_security and there is nothing we can do to assist you with that. You will need to contact your host support directly to discuss this issue.
If the issue with the email has been resolved I will no longer require the login credentials.
Thanks,
Kieran

June 3, 2018 at 05:57 #199748jay-leandroParticipantThanks, I appreciate your help. Now I have one final concern I’d need help with. I’d like to set up a section where users can apply for a different type of profile and work. They will be able to advertise their skills, set a schedule and rate and add information about their credentials with users being able to leave a review. It could be implemented like fiverr or a freelance setting. My main concern is if you have any tutorials or demos where I can add a major plugin like this and have specific user accounts have access to it.
June 3, 2018 at 16:06 #199753Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
I do not know of a single plugin that would do this for you. You will likely have to find either a combination of plugins and mesh them to work together or manually build this functionality yourself. If you’re not comfortable editing PHP or building advanced forms then you will likely need to hire a developer to do this for you. This would be classed as custom development and not something we could assist you with.
A starting point may be https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-job-manager/
Thanks,
Kieran

June 5, 2018 at 01:37 #199928Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
They seem to have changed the layout a little for reviews on ThemeForest. You’ll find the review option at the top right of the main page within the tabbed section titled ‘Overview’.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and sorry for the confusion.
All the best,
Kieran.

June 6, 2018 at 21:26 #200144jay-leandroParticipantI have to return to this thread because everyone else is so slow and bad at this and you’re so good so please facilitate me a while longer. My question now is if there is some sort of a refund policy. I’m unable to find a plugin to add the remaining functionality I need so may need to switch to a social media plugin and use a theme that adds the main functionality I need.
June 6, 2018 at 22:10 #200150Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
I’m very sorry to hear that you’ve not had a great experience with our support.
All sales are handled through Envato (ThemeForest) and you will need to initiate a refund via their platform. You can start this process by going to https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new and filling out the required fields.
Thank you,
Kieran.
