Hi,
It’s possible for a user to activate their account and login, which creates a WordPress account, but not a PMPro membership. They appear in the search results and membership page. They are neither a free or paid PMP or buddypress member.
They are then able to access other pages on the site.
This is a bug with the software, if users try and access pages without membership, they should be redirected to select a PMP level.
Can we get an ETA on how long this will take to fix thanks.
May 31, 2014 at 13:04 #19152AbeKeymasterHi, This is just how you configured your restrictions and it is not a bug. You should apply the restrictions to you buddypress components from Sweetdate – Mememberships and also each page has its own restriction setting.

Thanks for the response. However, there is no restriction to stop a member filling out their own profile and to appear in the member’s directory.
So, they might not be able to see other member’s profiles, but other member’s can see their profile, and contact them.
This means that a member can avoid selecting a paid membership level, and still access the directory. They should be restricted from the search results until they have selected a free membership level, or a paid membership level.
Cheers,
Phil

Cheers.
June 5, 2014 at 23:11 #19384AbeKeymasterHi, Sorry for the late reply.
Indeed there is no such option as default in the theme. We will think of that and try to add in later version releases.

Thanks for the reply.
This isn’t a feature to be implemented into future versions: it’s a critical bug in the membership system. I’ve spoken with Paid Membership Pro, and they agree.
Users can sign-up, and appear in the membership directory without paying. Can you update the theme to fix the bug, and post the patch to this thread thanks.
June 10, 2014 at 11:19 #19588AbeKeymasterWell it is not a bug, it is just how the theme functionality is right now.

Can you please clarify:
1. I purchased the dating website where members pay to join.
2. However, there is a way to navigate the site to avoid the payment process. While still being able to use the main features of the website. At a minimum appearing in the directory, and being able to be contacted by other members.
3. How this is the way the website works, rather than being classified as a bug?Cheers
June 10, 2014 at 16:57 #19633AbeKeymasterYou can see the default restrictions added by the theme to the buddypress related part in Sweetdate – Memberships
You can add other restrictions yourself, beside the default ones using code: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/extra-membership-restrictions-how-toAll other pages/posts can be restricted by editing it and checking the specific levels.
There were some topics here in the forum, see: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/how-to-add-pmpro-restriction-to-own-profile/#post-7498
