Hi,
I recently bought the theme, and I think it’s incredible. However, there are some few issues that I need assistance with:
*The profile tabs do not seem to be working, I have tried setting, but the only thing visible is the “Base” tab.
*Is there a way I can remove the homepage slider? I would like to use a static image of the same size.
*The carousel area on the homepage, how do i set it using elementor?
*Setting the search form widget on the sidebar and also above the members list appears to be a problem.
Please assist in resolving these issues and thanks in advance.
Best Regards
May 12, 2018 at 17:35 #197499Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
Because there are a few different points here I will reply to each in a numbered format for ease of tracking going forward.
1. I logged into your site and checked all of the relevant settings for the BuddyPress Profile Tabs in the header. All of your settings are correct and when data is entered into the additional tabs they do appear as they should. See here https://www.match.co.ke/members/admin/, the ‘About Me’ tab now appears after I entered content into the field.
2. You can remove the slider and replace with an image by doing the following. Hover over the top right of the slider (the blue) until you see the icons revealed for editing – click the X button to remove the slider. On the left drag the ‘Image’ element into the area that now appears with only a + icon within at the top of the page. Once you have dragged this element to the position it will open the configuration options on the left. Upload your desired image and settings, save (see screenshots).
3. You need to edit the homepage with Elementor and the hover over the element, click the pencil icon and then configure the settings in the left side panel. There are two elements in this section, one for logged in users and the other for logged out users, scroll down over the section to see the secondary item. In each case you can hover over and click the pencil the edit the items (see screenshots).
4. Please provide more information on the issue so I can assist you.
Thanks,
Kieran

1. Search Results and Form Duplicate
Please try disabling all plugins except for BuddyPress, Elementor and BuddyPress Profile Search. Purge your website cache. Once you have done this go to your members directory and purge your front-end cache (Ctrl+F5) to get the latest files for the page.
If the error has disappeared enable the plugins one by one and repeat the two purging steps each time until you find the plugin causing the issue.
If the issue persists after testing thoroughly with disabling plugins then please let me know
2. Opposite Sex Directory
Are you saying you wish to only show women to men and men to women? If so we did have a custom code solution for this, however, the code does not currently work due BuddyPress updates. The code will be reviewed and updated when BuddyPress 3.0 releases to ensure maximum compatibility.
3. Profile Header Tabs Size
All of the tabs are the same size (height) but their width is dependent on the text within it as that varies. Would you like to make the smaller in general so they appear on one line? If so I can send you custom CSS to achieve this. Just let me know what you would like to change (font-size, padding, margin etc).
4. Transparent Header on Home Page
You can go to Pages > All Pages > Home Default and edit the page (with WordPress not Elementor), scroll past the post editor down to the ‘General Settings’ panel and click on the ‘Header Settings’ tab. Within this tab you’ll see an option to enable or disable the transparent header. I have disabled this for you.
Thanks,
Kieran

May 16, 2018 at 04:11 #197858mrstanParticipantHi,
Thank you for your detailed feedback and the modifications.
1. After purging, the search forms do not work still and appear the same as they were before.
2. I look forward to the update.
3. Padding to be smaller, perhaps to make them appear on one line
4. Excellent, just what was needed.
Many thanks
May 16, 2018 at 04:28 #197859Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
I have added the below custom CSS to WP Admin > Appearance > Editor > SweetDate Child > Style.css for you to reduce the space used by the tabs. Realistically it isn’t possible to make this smaller as they would loose their look and feel.
COPY CODE.bp-user .tabs dd a { padding: 0 8px; } .bp-user .tabs.pill.custom dd a { height: 33px; line-height: 33px; } .bp-user .tabs.pill.custom dd { margin-right: 5px; margin-bottom: 10px; }
I cannot find the issue in regards to the members page multiple search forms and will therefore refer this ticket to a higher support level to assist you with this. They’ll be in touch with you as soon as they can, Monday to Friday, East European Time.
Thank you for your patience,
Kieran

Mark as a solutionMay 21, 2018 at 15:40 #198442RaduModeratorThat it means that the problem has nothing to do with the Sweetdate theme and it may be a issue from the form plugin, ask the same on the plugin support.

Mark as a solutionMay 24, 2018 at 15:43 #198854RaduModeratorThe activation emails issue it may be related to the buddypress , here are the solutions where other users had solved exactly the same issue :
https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/activate-your-account-message#post-198488
linking this which seems to be solution : https://buddypress.org/support/topic/users-can-not-be-activated-after-registration/
Also you can try to do this before all of those
It looks to be a bug from buddypress not from our side and we cannot change the code of a third party plugin, you can revert buddypress to an older version if previous workaround are not effective.
buddypress 2.9.4 : https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/11943/tags/2.9.4?old_path=%2F&format=zip

To be honest, you appear very unwilling to offer any form of support. It is very disheartening and unfair that one invests in the theme, but the support that is provided is totally poor.
To start with, I had raised various questions in my previous message. You have only responded to one, ignoring the other ones. Furthermore, the suggestions that you provide do not offer any solution to the problem. The previous version of the plugin that you provided is not even uploading.
I completely understand that you are busy with other clients as well, but I believe that we all need some form of support.
May 24, 2018 at 18:49 #198879RaduModeratorHi
I saw that kieran offers responses to your questions in previous discussions, can you please make a summary of what things remains unsolved ?
Related to the “*Setting the search form widget on the sidebar and also above the members list appears to be a problem.”
https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/various-items/#post-197955
Asked you here if the issue happens also with other theme. That means that our theme not interfere with that…because it’s inactive. You can ask the plugin author here about this issue https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/bp-profile-search
The issue with the emails notifications belongs to the Buddypress plugin, if you will switch to other theme you will see the same email problem. I have provided workaround for the issue until they fix or something.
Cheers
