Everytime someone loads an image when it was vertical it is displaying as landscape.  Is there any way for users to rotate their own images or for vertical images to remain vertical and not be rotated to landscape?

    Hi,

Can you update this ticket with new admin credentials so I can test this out please. Does this happen on the front end and the back end, or just on the front end?

    Thanks,

    Kieran

    Hi,

I logged in via Google Chrome with the account listed above and uploaded a picture via rtMedia (/members/profile/), rtMedia (/activity/), profile photo and I uploaded a photo via WP Admin Media Library all of which uploaded correctly.

Can you please let me know the following

    – Where does this happen? Front-end, back-end, activity, profiles etc
    – What browser is being used when this happens?
    – Does this happen with more than one image?
    – Please upload the image here that is uploading incorrectly

    Thanks,

    Kieran.

It happens in both. My concern is a user displayed image.

Go to user profile and try to load a vertical profile picture or a picture in the media section. they will rotate sideways.

    Hi,

I will assign this to one of our developers @Radu to look into this for you. They’ll be in touch as soon as they can (Mon-Fri East Europe Time)

In the meantime please confirm the following as having as much information as possible is critical to debugging any such issues

    – What browser is being used when this happens?
    – Does this happen with more than one image?
    – Please upload the image here that is uploading incorrectly

    Thanks,

    Kieran.

Hi, I was using android phone browser. This also happen to iphone users.

This happens with various images and seems to be if someone loads an image that is vertical taken from a mobile device the system then landscapes it and rotates it sideways.

Next message will have image as I will send from my phone. I suggest you take an image on mobile and try to laod. I tested this and it happened to me and I have had 5 or 6 members contact me with the same issue.

    Hi,

Our theme not alter the photo upload logic, try that using default WP theme to see if you encounter the same.

I think you will have to search for a plugin that can do that

    Try this : https://wordpress.org/plugins/image-rotation-fixer/
    Other discussion : https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/buddypress-activity-plus-rotate-images

    Cheers
