I am unable to activate Visual Composer or access BuddyPress shortcodes on a default install. Do I need to purchase a license for Visual Composer to use with BuddyApp?

Note: I have purchased a license for Visual Composer to make it activate and reveal the BuddyPress shortcodes. Was that not needed?

It’s activated and working because I purchased and installed a separate license, otherwise the included version would not activate or reveal anything other than basic WordPress shortcodes.

Hello, the included version doesnt need to be activated because we update the version with each theme update 🙂

After updating to 4.11.12, Visual composer isn’t revealing anything. Mind you I bought a license a whole back and it worked fine. How can I roll back to SeventhQueen license instead of my purchased one?

Hi Laura – I solved the problem. Here’s what i did:

1. Deactivated visual composer plugin
2. Deleted the plugin
3. Re-installed the plugin from Theme options
4. Activated the plugin and license
5. Switched to a different theme and back.
6. Viola!
