Hi,
I´ve bought your theme 2 years ago and the visual composer isn´t working anymore.
It doesn´t load in the pages, where I need the visual composer.
When I click on “Backend Editor” in the blue field, next to the Logo of Visual Composer, the small area with buttons “Logo + ADD + Template” appears, but when I want to add an element, (the new window opens), but I can´t integrate something, like “blog posts”nothing happens.
Also, no content of the site is visible, when I just open the page
Would be great, if you could help me.
I just wanted to buy the visual composer on my own, but as you say, it is integrated in the theme, so it should work. The site is not visible, cause, it´s a private community, so I can´t show you
nice greetings Sandra

Even not on a simple-page like 404.page.
It´s not possible, to load any element.
When I click on a element, like “+ Add element” or “Add text block” or “add template”, nothing happens.
Please, see attachment “not-working-vc.png”Another thing thats on my mind:
The visual composer wants an update. But therefore, I need an activation.
But how to make an update without an licence key, when the plugin comes with the theme?
And with the theme-update , no update of the VC happende????nice greetings Sandra

March 23, 2018 at 17:33 #192812RaduModeratorHi,
I think one of your plugins causes that or the child theme if you are using
There seems to be a plugin compatibility switch off all plugins except visual composer then check if the vc works if yes activate plugins back one by one while you check until you find the plugin that do that.
If still not works with all plugins off or not, try to do the next, go to wp-admin -> plugins -> check visual composer and k-elements, de-activate them then delete them after that go to wp-admin -> appearance -> install plugins -> install Visual composer and K-elements, then check again.
IF still not works you will have to enable wp debug, i will add the procedure below.
Please update the KLEO theme to latest version and the afferent plugins, you can check the plugin update status from wp-admin -> appearance -> install plugins.
If this is useless please follow these steps to enable wp debug:
- Connect to your server by FTP
- Look in root directory of your WordPress install and open wp-config.php
- Search for define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false ); and change FALSE value to TRUE
COPY CODEdefine( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
- After this line add this:
COPY CODEdefine( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
WP_DEBUG_LOG is a companion to WP_DEBUG that causes all errors to also be saved to a debug.log log file inside the /wp-content/ directory. This is useful if you want to review all notices later or need to view notices generated off-screen (e.g. during an AJAX request or wp-cron run).
Repeat the described actions and then check the debug.log file and let me know what error appears.
Let me know
Cheers

thanks for your message.I will try the wp debug process.
All the other stuff you have mentioned (all other plugins deactivated, cleared Cache (1000time), updated theme and plugins), I did 2 days ago, already.
Nothing helped.Hopefully the debug process…lets see.
I will let you know.Thanks
SandraMarch 23, 2018 at 20:33 #192834lorndalParticipantwell, the wp-debug-mode says:
[23-Mar-2018 18:27:15 UTC] PHP Notice: get_currentuserinfo is deprecated since version 4.5.0! Use wp_get_current_user() instead. in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/ecchr-connect/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3839
and now?
In line 3839 is no method, I could replace. Only the echo of this error-message!nice greetings Sandra
All updated Plugins deactivated, except K-elemts and Visual Composer
K-elements and Visual Composer cleared and reinstalled from your archive, that I’ve received 2 years ago.
Updated theme is Kleo (not Kleo-Child anymore)VC not running on localhost
March 24, 2018 at 16:41 #192876lorndalParticipantwell…..the plugin is too old!
We´ve integrated a visual composer from another installation, and it worked! How can I get a newer version of the VC for Kleo-theme from you?
Thanks,nice greetings Sandra
March 24, 2018 at 17:05 #192879Kieran_SQModeratorHi Sandra,
The current version available with KLEO is 5.4.7 which is the latest WP Bakery release available. Please make sure you have updated your ThemeForest username and API key to WP Admin > Theme Options > Theme Update and then check WP Admin > Appearance > Install Plugins for the latest update for WP Bakery.
Thanks,
Kieran

March 24, 2018 at 18:40 #192890lorndalParticipantwell, always, when I´ve tried to update the vc-plugin, the process wanted my licence key of vc, that I don´t have!
No chance to update the plugin without a licence-key.March 24, 2018 at 18:47 #192891Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
WP Bakery does not require a licence key when bundled with a theme, like it is in KLEO, it only notifies you on install or update that you can enter a licence key for their plugin if you wish to receive support from their team too.
It is not required and does not limit any of the functionality of the plugin as it is licensed on your behalf by Seventh Queen. The notice can safely be dismissed.
Thanks,
Kieran.

March 26, 2018 at 15:55 #193064RaduModeratorHi,
IT’s a bundled plugin and they comes without license and it can be updated through our theme, so to can update plugin go to wp-admin -> plugins -> visual composer -> deactivate and delete.
Go to wp-admin -> appearance -> install plugins -> look for visual composer and install it.
