Visual composer not showing blog except

Hello,

i just started to use visual composer for my blog articles but when i do it is not showing the excerpt in the widget areas. i have adding a snapshot where you can see that i am missing the excerpt on the post that i did use vc and then there are two blog post where i didn’t use vc and the excerpt shows up.any help would be greatly appreciated.

That’s correct and this isnt a bug. VC is just a bunch of shortcodes so there’s no way for WP to extract a excerpt. You’ll need to use the custom excerpt box. If you dont see the excerpt box when editing the post, click on screen options in the upper right and enable it.
